Seniors Speak Out Statement on the Recent Childhood Vaccine Executive Order

August 11, 2026—Seniors Speak Out, a national healthcare policy advocacy group, issued the below statement following the signing of the Delivering Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations for Americans Executive Order (EO):  

"Seniors Speak Out is deeply concerned by the changes made to the childhood vaccine schedule in the administration’s recent EO. Policies that undermine children’s ability to remain fully vaccinated place seniors at greater risk. 

"Splitting the combined measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine into separate shots means more visits and more opportunities to miss or delay a dose. With measles cases already at a 35-year high, seniors are relying on their communities to remain protected from preventable diseases like these.  

"Vaccines are safe, effective, and backed by decades of research. Policymakers should rely on this evidence to support the health of America’s seniors, children, and families. We are disappointed to see this order move forward.”
